Denver/Broomfield, Colorado, March 14, 2008-It's that time again. On March 15^th , the world's best combat grapplers travel to Colorado to test themselves in the ultimate submission fighting challenge.

Now in it's eighth year, the Pancrase USA sanctioned tournament has matured into a world championship event. Last year nearly 400 fighters from ten countries and thousands of spectators took part in our combined North American Championship series. This year promises to be even bigger and better.

New in 2008 is a World Championship Team award called the Ozaki Cup. Named in honor of Pancrase President Masami Ozaki, the giant trophy will be awarded to the tournament's top scoring team.

Also new are special “King and Queen of Combat Grappling” awards for the absolute division champions.

Fans and competitors alike can look forward to a day of world-class submission fighting from experts in the world's oldest martial art.

As always, the Pancrase World Championship is held in conjunction with the 17^th Old Timers Wrestling Tourney /(collegiate style)/. Both tournaments run simultaneously and at the same location. Competitors and spectators may participate in both events.

Competition begins at 9:00 AM, Saturday, March 15^th , at the Broomfield High School, 1 Eagle Way, Broomfield, Colorado, 80020. The venue is located within minutes of downtown Denver and the international airport. The metro area offers a full range of accommodations and amenities for out of town visitors.

World Pancrase Create, Inc., would like to announce the amendment of weight classes which would be international standard by The Nevada State Athletic Commission in order to aim worldwide organization. The new weight classes shall be started from Pancrase Event on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008. Please find the following the amendment of weight classes.

- Rules -
Match form : only single match of 5 min 2 rounds (no extra round)
Protectors : head guard, OFG (only official authorized goods of Pancrase Korea)
leg guards, foul cup, mouth guard and so on (personal goods can be allowed)

Equipment : only tight pants and trousers, or one-piece wrestling suits
(rash guard shirts , T-shirts, Do-gi, surf pants cannot be allowed)
wrestling/boxing/martial arts shoes with soft material can be allowed
Forbidden Techniques : punching or kicking to face or head of the opponent on the ground twisting heel, elbow strike to the face, and other ordinary foul playing of MMA

Victory and Defeat : only by KO, TKO or give up. (no decision)

We, World Pancrase Create, Inc., decided to name our up coming 2007 tour
PANCRASE 2007 RISING TOUR
This "RISING TOUR", named by a fan Mr. Seiji Hiraoka (Nara prefecture) through our open-to-public application will be our new slogan: "Growing, Achieving and Aiming High".
We would be delighted to have you at our event starting from Sunday, 4th of February 2007 at Umeda Stera Hall.

To improve in contestants' standard and ability, in all respect, The King of Pancrase Committee reconsidered the system of the Official ranking and changed as follows;
- For permission to become a challenger to the King of Pancrasist; the entire number of the matches, winning average and fighting achievement will be selected and approved in advance.
- Ranked holders who have not fight in 365 days or ranked athletes who do not indicate their intention to participate to Pancrase may automatically lose their title or be demoted.
